Jean Macdonald

Jean Macdonald has been working with CUREE since she left the Learning and Skills Council (where she was the national LSC project manager for 'Success for All') in 2004. Her expertise is in project management and information systems and she has focused on projects involving the further education sector and those relating to the use of technology. She has considerable experience of managing projects in education, including research into good practice in FE and Work-based learning. Prior to the establishment of the LSC she was the Further Education Funding Council Inspectorate's lead on the dissemination of good practice. Jean taught in secondary schools and in further and adult education for 16 years before moving to working on national projects. She has a BSc (Hons) in Biology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and a postgraduate Diploma in Management. She is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Biology and the Association for Learning Technology. Jean has recently become chair of governors for a local special primary school.
