Donald Evans

Donald Evans Donald joined CUREE in March 2001. He is a key contributor to the General Teaching Council's 'Research of the Month' website and to the 'Research Informed Practice' area of the DfES Standards website, for both of which he writes summaries of high-quality research. Donald has contributed to a number of EPPI Centre Reviews of Continuing Professional Development conducted by CUREE. Other projects include fieldwork for the mentoring and coaching strand of the national CPD strategy, the TDA Postgraduate Professional Development programme and QCDA’s Building the Evidence Base project, and supporting teacher-researchers’ writing  for the National Teacher Research Panel Conference in 2008. Previously he taught science in secondary schools and has been head of large science departments in two schools. Donald is a graduate of the Royal Society of Chemisty and has a MSc and a PhD in Chemistry.
